1967
Maiden meet

Maiden meeting of Param Pujya Gurudev Shri Ranchhoddasji Maharaj with Shri Arvind N. Mafatlal at Ranka, Bihar, during famine relief work.


1968
Establishment of Trust

Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust was founded by Param Pujya Gurudev at Dhar (M.P.). Shri Arvind N. Mafatlal was nominated as the Chairman of the Trust.


1969
Sadguru Nagar

Foundation stone of Sadguru Nagar was laid by Param Pujya Gurudev Shri Ranchhoddasji Maharaj.


1972
Jankikund Dispensary

Modest scale Jankikund dispensary was inaugurated and extended to 25 bedded Hospital to provide medical services for the poor in the area.


1973
Sarvajanik Chikitsalaya

Inauguration of Sarvajanik Chikitsalaya at Anandpur, Dist. Vidisha (M.P.)


1976
First Family Planning Camp

First Family Planning Camp organized with 209 operations.


1980
Vidhyadham School

'Vidhyadham School' – the pioneer Educational Institution came into existence at Chitrakoot for primary education irrespective of their rural background.


First eye camp

First ever eye camp was organized at Anandpur and was named as “Sadguru Nagar” by Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra


1982
First General Surgical Camp

First General Surgical Camp was held by the team consisting of Dr. Mukund Parikh F.R.C.S. (Eng.) & Specialists from Bombay (344 operations performed) at JKC.


First Plastic Surgery Camp

First Plastic Surgery Camp was held at Chitrakoot. 65 operations were performed by Visiting Plastic Surgeon Dr. V.K. Baxi from USA Assisted by Dr. Das Gupta, Anaethesist, Mumbai.


1988
Polio Camp

Polio Camp was held at JKC, Chitrakoot. Surgeries for Polio correction were performed by visiting Surgeons Dr. Vyagneswaradu, Dr. Adi Narayana & Dr. Bapi Raju.


1992
Silver Jubilee

Silver Jubilee Year. In April 1992, Cataract Free Zone Project was launched by the Chairman, Shri Arvind N. Mafatlal at Jankikund.


Golden Jubilee Eye Camp

Golden Jubilee Eye Camp (Tara Netra Daan Yagna) was held at Chitrakoot. Inauguration of pictorial exhibition "Glimpses of Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust Activities” - by Shri Sundarlal Patwa, Ex-Chief Minister of M.P.

Lions Club International Humanitarian Award

Lions Club International Humanitarian Award was conferred to Shri Arvind N.Mafatlal, Chairman of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust for his pioneering efforts in sight related activities.

Cataract Free Zone Project

CATARACT FREE ZONE PROJECT - Concluding Function was held to declare Majhgavaan Block as a Cataract free Zone by HRD Minister, M.P.

First National Convention

First National Convention of District Programme Managers of DBCS was organized under the Aegis of NPCB.


1998
Shri Sadguru Mahila Bahu Shahkari Samiti

Shri Sadguru Mahila Bahu Sahakari Samiti came into existence at Chitrakoot.


1999
Sadguru School of Nursing

Sadguru School of Nursing (Recognized by Indian Nursing Council) was inaugurated in Chitrakoot.


Diwaliben Mohanlal Mehta Award

'Diwaliben Mohanlal Mehta Award' was conferred for outstanding work of serving the poor by Shri Ramdas N. Gokani, Executive Trustee of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust.


2000
Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya

Inauguration of full-fledged eye-hospital, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (SNC) at Chitrakoot.


2002
Matritva Sadan

Matritva Sadan was started with financial Aid from Surekha Charitable Trust.


Gurukul started

Gurukul named as "Shri Ram Sanskrit Maha Vidyalaya" was started for Sanskrit students in and around Chitrakoot.


2003
Sadguru Public School

Sadguru Public Higher Secondary School (English Medium) was inaugurated and named as "Shri Ramkrishna Shiksha Sadan" at Chitrakoot.


Pediatric Eyecare Center

Pediatric Eyecare Center was inaugurated with the support of ORBIS by Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh - Mr. Babu Lal Gaur


Inauguration of First Vision Center

First Vision Center (Primary Eye Care Center) was inaugurated with the support of ORBIS at Manikpur, Uttar Pradesh.


2004
Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya

Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya (SSNC), full fledged eye hospital in Anandpur was inaugurated to provide regular eye services to the people.


2005
President's Visit

President of India, Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Azad visited Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot.


2007
Children’s Eye Care Center

Pedriatric ophthalmology unit named “Children’s Eye Care Center” was inaugurated at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot, with the support of ORBIS.


Matritva-Sadan

Matritva-Sadan, Center to provide maternal care to rural women in and around Anandpur was inaugurated.


2008
Accreditation with ISO

Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya got accreditation with International Organization for Standardization (ISO).


DNB certificate

The National Board of Examinations (NBE), Government of India, granted SNC the Diplomate of National Board Certificate for Ophthalmology training (Post Graduation Course).


Sadguru Eye Bank

Sadguru Eye Bank was inaugurated enabling sight-restoring corneal transplants.


NPCB grants Training programs

National Programme for Control of Blindness granted training programs for Govt. Paramedical and Ophthalmologist to Sadguru Netra Chikitslaya.


Low Vision resource Centre

Low Vision resource Centre was donated and inaugurated by Maruti Trust, UK at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot


Dental unit established

Dental unit was established and inaugurated with the support of “Anandpur Outreach” Team in Anandpur.


2009
Sadguru Blood Bank

Inauguration of Sadguru Blood Bank at Chitrakoot to enable the blood transfusion within the institute itself for saving the lives.


First Anandpur Outreach

The First Anandpur Outreach program was organized successfully.


2010
SSNC awarded by Govt. of M.P.

On 15th Aug 2010, SSNC was awarded for the excellent work done in eye care under Blindness Control Programme by Shri Raghavji Bhai, Finance Minister of M.P.


SNC Training for Paramedical, Ophthalmologist

National Programme for Control of Blindness granted training programs for Govt. Paramedical and Ophthalmologist to Sadguru Netra Chikitslaya.


New Primary School inaugurated

New Primary School was inaugurated and named as "Shri Padmanabhbhai Arvindbhai Mafatlal Primary School" in Anandpur.


Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School

Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School was inaugurated and named as “Smt. Sushilaben Arvindbhai Mafatlal Higher Secondary School’ in Anandpur.

Dr. R. K. Seth Award

Awarded with Dr. R. K. Seth Award - 2011 for Outstanding contribution in the field of community ophthalmology.


2012
Sangeet Vidyalaya

Inauguration of Sangeet Vidyalaya and Vocational Taining Center for the development of community in and around Chitrakoot.


Shri Dharamsey Nansey Oman Award

The Trust was awarded ‘Shri Dharamsey Nansey Oman Award’ for Best Eye Hospital for Community Care in Vision-2020, 9th Annual conference of VISION 2020 - The Right to Sight - INDIA.

Inauguration of Sadguru-Gramodaya Community College enabling the multitude of rural students to brighten up their future.


First 3-D Live Ophthalmic Surgical Workshop

Inauguration of Super-Speciality Clinic in Jankikund Chikitsalaya.


Cataract Free Zone

Declaration of Chitrakoot District as Cataract Free Zone by Dr.Ved Prakash, CMO, Chitrakoot – under CFZ PROJECT by the Trust; Chitrakoot being the first district nationally and internationally, to be declared as Cataract Back-log Free.
